North Kerry began the defence of their Acorn Life County Under 21 football title with a comprehensive dismantling of Killarney Legion at Jack Walsh Park in Asdee last Wednesday evening. This first round annihilation, 2-24 to 0-5, certainly laid down a marker to all the other challengers.
Lining out without four of their five-strong Kerry Under 20 panellists – Eddie Healy, Cormac Dillon, Evan Boyle and Adam Segal were missing – the defending champions showcased their strength-in-depth to a significant extent on the night.
