Gardaí are investigating a serious assault which occurred at a retail premises in Dublin over the weekend.

The incident occurred on the Swords Road in Santry on Saturday at approximately 7.50pm.

An adult male teenager was taken to Beaumont Hospital for medical treatment following the incident. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing,” a garda spokesperson said.

“Anyone with information regarding this assault is asked to contact Ballymun Garda Station on (01) 6664400 the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

“An Garda Síochána is aware of videos and images of this incident that are currently in circulation. An Garda Síochána is requesting that this footage and imagery are not shared.”
