An investigation into an assault is under way after a teenager was injured at a retail premises in Dublin.

Gardaí said the incident took place at around 7.50pm on Saturday on the Swords Road in Santry.

A man in his teens was taken to Beaumont Hospital for medical treatment after the incident.

His injuries are described as serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

An Garda Síochána said they are aware of videos and images of the incident “currently in circulation” and asked that they are not shared.

They have appealed for anyone with information to contact Ballymun Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line or any Garda station.
