A new year means new inspiration; enter the fashion influencers of Ireland. From rookies to veterans, these gals are going to give you the push you need to wake up to on a grey, dull morning and think: “No, I won’t wear my tracksuit for the third day in a row.” Read on for their tips on where to shop, how to find your personal style and what items they can’t live without.

“My bottom line is: less is more, always!” Noela Stafania, who favours a modern chic look

Noela Stefania, @noelastefania Describe your style. “My style would be quite feminine and chic but in a modern way. My friends have used the word effortless, even though a lot of effort goes in behind the scenes! My bottom line is: less is more, always!” Favourite shop? “& Other Stories on Grafton Street. I worked there for almost four years. I believe that’s where my style was born. Our team all had their own personal sense of fashion, I took inspiration from each one of them. Another favourite of mine is Lioness (lionessfashion.com), their pieces are so unique, and so me!” Item of clothing you can’t part with? “My brown Fendi baguette handbag that was passed down to me from my mother. She bought it on a whim in her 20s, she has great taste. I absolutely adore it, no other bag compares!”

“I genuinely underestimated the power of a good pair of jeans.” Influencer Billykiss Azeez, who likes to discover niche brands

Billykiss Azeez, @billykiss Favourite place to shop? “I really love discovering smaller, niche brands and adding unique pieces to my collection. My most recent splurges have been at BBXBRAND and No Faith Studios. Must-have? “The item I can’t live without is probably the most basic answer, but it’s a really good pair of jeans. I got a pair from Raey (sold at matchesfashion.com) a few months back, and I promise you I’ve worn them 100 times already. I genuinely underestimated the power of a good pair of jeans.” Any fashion tips? “Have fun with it and take your time. Utilise all the resources available online, with Pinterest being my favourite. Save, save, save pins of outfits that you like. Try to identify common pieces you gravitate towards and slowly build your closet around those items.”

“Try everything! Even if you don’t think it’ll suit or fit.” Influencer Freya Broni, who is a fan of Vestiaire Collective

Freya Broni, @freyabroni Favourite place to shop? “Vestiaire Collective is my current addiction. They have the best selection of preloved and designer, you can find some absolute gems!” Item you can’t live without? “My digital camera comes everywhere with me. It’s a Sony camera I found in the house during lockdown that was my dad’s 20 odd years ago and it’s just so fun to catch memories on. Great for outfit pics also!” Tips? “Try everything! Even if you don’t think it’ll suit or fit. It can be tedious but it will give you such a good idea of what you like and what you feel good in. You’ll be surprised at how much you discover about your style and you’ll probably push yourself out of your comfort zone a little more every time.”
