This is a generational Clare team but it looks like they’ll end up with very little silverware to their name

Sport can be cruel at times, the scars of big losses taking an awful long time to heal. Sometimes they never do. For me, a six-point pasting by the champions – and a third straight Munster final loss – will prove an irreparable scar for this Clare team.

As much as it’d be great for hurling to see them win a Munster title, they’ve no one to blame but themselves. It’s sad, because this is a generational Clare team I really admire and it looks like they’ll end up with very little silverware to their name.
