Ballymaloe House Hotel has received the seal of approval from Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow, appearing in the seasonal gift guide from her famous wellness brand, Goop.
The East Cork hotel was selected by Goop editors in its “The Forward-to-Your-SO” gift guide, alongside other brands including Chanel, Rolex and Birkin.
The Goop gift guide is curated by the site’s editors with the intention of suggesting meaningful presents for loved ones.
According to the Goop website, the team of buyers and editors spends months seeking out and testing options for the annual gift guide which aims to provide readers with gift ideas for the person in their life who has everything.
On Ballymaloe House Hotel, Goop editors say: “The real draw at this charming, plush country house hotel” is the “farm to fork dining”.
The hotel was founded by the late Myrtle Allen who opened a restaurant in her dining room at Ballymaloe House in 1964 and became the first female chef in Ireland to be awarded a Michelin Star.
Speaking on the recognition from Goop, Helen Cuddigan, Marketing and Digital Manager of Ballymaloe House Hotel, says: “While Ballymaloe House Hotel proudly stands on its own reputation, to be recognised in Goop’s seasonal gift guide will bring what we do to an entire new audience.
“We look forward to a busy 2024 season, welcoming back returning guests, and our newer ones.”
