The provincial football finals kick off with defending champions Kerry and underdogs Clare contesting the Munster Senior Football Championship decider this weekend.

In a repeat of last year’s final, the Kingdom are expected to clinch their 85th Munster title, while the Banner are aiming for a first since 1992.

Here’s all you need to know about the game.

Where and when is it on?

Following a coin toss to decide the venue, the Munster SFC final will be held at Cusack Park in Ennis for the first time in over a century, and throw-in on Sunday afternoon is set for 1.45pm.

Where can I watch the game?

The match will be broadcast live on RTÉ 2 and it is also available to stream on the RTÉ Player.

What can I read about and listen to on the Irish Independent?

There’s team news here, and Conor McKeon has interviewed Clare’s Ikem Ugwueru about finally accepting the call to play inter-county football.

Kerry midfielder Joe O’Connor also explains how an underage rugby career has helped the Austin Stacks clubman reach the top in football.

What are the odds?

As you might expect, Kerry are overwhelming favourites at 1/50, while Clare are 16/1 and the draw is 33/1.
