Nesconset Chamber and the Town of Smithtown Officials will welcome a new business in the neighborhood with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Phoenix Fitness will open at 260 Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset. The grand opening is on Thursday, Mar. 9, at 12:30 p.m. Refreshments and snacks will be offered. (Nesconset CofC- Social Media)
Police reported a fatal struck on Scholar Lane in Commack. A pedestrian was crossing the road near Shaker Ridge Lane on Monday at 6 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle. (News 12 Bronx)
American Ballet Theatre is coming to Staller Center for the first time. The group will perform at the 2023 Staller Center Gala on Mar. 4 at 7 p.m. That will be such a glamorous event in the neighborhood! Tickets are still available here. (Three Village Patch)

The Smithtown Police Blotter reports two grand larcenies in two stores in the area. A woman had her wallet stolen at Costco on Middle Country Road, and clothes were reported stolen from the Children’s Palace store in the Smith Haven Mall. Both incidents happened between Feb. 20-23.
